DND

Welcome to "The eclipse"

In this short adventure you will (hopefully) unravel the mysteries around the Alba Lux and mid-realm, make friends and destroy those who stand in your way.

What's waiting for you:

You are a god! You have not been one forever, but one day you ascended to the heavenly realm following one of many reasons. You might've did a noble sacrifice, managed a great deed or just been so generous that one of the fateful though you deserved for this new chance for your greatness. Since then your life has probably been revolving about much calmer things, but not easier. The heavenly realm is depending a lot on diplomacy and hierarchy, with a queen at the top that you need to answer to and way too much paperwork to get anything permitted. You also need to deal with your own small domain and followers that come with it, as confusing or frustrating they might be at times. This was your normal life and you might've gotten used to it. But now kinda out of nowhere you are called to the the axiom council without any warning. Surely, this is just a mistake, right?

Gods

After new god is chosen by one of the fateful (usually in the form of a mysterious creature) they get teleported to the Alba Lux and one of the older gods helps them in the beginning to figure out this new life.
Once a god gets more powerful over time they can choose to gift their followers powers, making them clerics. Sadly making too many would weaken their powers, so most of them keep it to a small amount, even though more might be possible.
When a human ascends they gain new features, making them inhuman (and another race). These features are usually connected to their domain or reason why they ascended and can make them be very normal or abstact looking.

Ghosts

After a human dies and they were burdened by sin, hate, unresolved feeling or similar in life they become a ghost and gain demonically features, wandering the world. Only the most powerful ones can be seen by mortals and thouse are usually out to harm them.

The Places around the world

The Alba Lux

The Alba Lux is the grand city of gods, distinguished by it's white tall buildings and golden decorations. Located on the highest mountains and separated from the mid-realm the gods rule from here over the world, lead by their queen Maledicta. The only way up these steep cliffs is to teleport to the main square, something only immortal being are able to.

The mid-realm

Usually said to be the mortal realm, these lands are populated by humans. Known for lush forests, running rivers and endless grasslands here all people live before meeting their end, for a very few by ascending or otherwise dying.

Clerics and Paladins

Because you are a god, you can't directly follow one. This doesn't mean that you cannot play a cleric or paladin, instead they work slightly different. Paladin will follow a promise or purpose instead, this could be a moral standpoint or the protection of a group/individual.
Cleric will not follow a god, but instead a domain. This could be any like nature, knowledge, trickery or any other.

What I need of you:

As you might though I need a tiny bit more then usual from you. This is the least I would need to make it work, but you know I always love if you have more.

I'd also love some crazy ideas, we can just talk and very likely make it work, same goes if you need any help. Please make your character and then we'll do a session 0 online before the trip so if you want to change anything there's still time. Also thank you so much to Nico for bouncing ideas off each other, this adventure would be way more boring without him.
